Who we are
Skycombers Flying Club, Inc. is a California non-profit corporation based at Whiteman Airport in Pacoima, ten minutes from Burbank and a straight shot up the 405 or 5 from the Westside and downtown. The club was incorporated on December 1, 2000, and has been flying out of Whiteman ever since, with one purpose: give pilots an affordable way to fly a capable airplane on their own schedule.
We keep the club deliberately small: the bylaws cap it at ten owner-pilots per airplane. That ratio is the whole point. The Cardinal is almost always available when you want it, and every member has a real say in how it is maintained and equipped.
Our members range from newly certificated private pilots to instrument-rated cross-country flyers and career aviators. Flying ranges from Catalina lunch runs and coastal sightseeing to IFR trips up the coast and into the Sierra.

Group fly-outs and work parties where members keep the airplane looking sharp and get to know each other.

Monthly board meetings are open to every member, and an audit committee reviews the finances. You always know where the money goes.
Instruction available
Board-approved CFIs for checkouts, flight reviews, and instrument currency in the Cardinal.
